We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Content Licensing Coordinator, Project Status Worker to join our K-5 Social Studies team in our Columbus, OH office.  Does this sound like you?
This is a project status position. 

As part of our PreK-12 business, you’ll be part of a team that creates robust digital tools, curriculum and learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day.

The Content Licensing Coordinator supports product development teams to set up and monitor databases, track assets, ensure complete and accurate records, license assets and monitor compliance for all media assets: art; photo; video; sound; animation; music; text; fonts etc. They monitor and report project status and guide work to ensure assets are accurately entered, licensed and meet deliverable expectations and schedule.

Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Maintain and provide accurate asset data entry, licensing, reporting, prior to product release date. Create project documentation, derivative trees and schedules.  Monitor project budget and alert team to budget trends. Provide accurate and complete credit information and enter information into project files as needed.
  • Manage databases to ensure all necessary information is entered and accurate and process invoices.
  • Provide training and guidelines to internal and external team members and vendors.  Manage vendors who provide asset management/tracking services for assigned projects.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines in a team-orientated environment.
  • Foresees potential obstacles and takes the initiative to develop and propose solutions.
  • Assists in additional roles, as needed.
  • Develop and promote innovative ideas and processes that reduce time and redundancies.
What you’ll need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in library science
  • Previous experience with tracking assets, database system entry, and asset licensing.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, negotiation and scheduling skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in art, film, audio, photography, or intellectual property licensing.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop a plan for its ingestion.
  • Ability to monitor the progress of vendors and other team members to ensure all assets are acquired in the appropriate timeframe, meet permissions requirements and accurately record data in the Asset Management System.
  • Be a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.
